Sheryl Reffner, Class of 1979
I have many memories… attending Mass, Bishop Fischer coming to our house to pick up persimmons, going to Monsignor Royer's telescope, school carnivals, working at St. Pan’s day care, teaching 4th grade, having my daughter attend for a couple of years. Pancratius will always be home! Overall, it’s the relationships I have that came from St. Pan that are priceless! Every school carnival about 30 of us get together.
Rose Vitetta-Lewis, Class of 1989
In 1973 we moved into our Lakewood home with our son Brian. We knew we wanted to be near a Catholic Church and school. Then Tim and Emily were born, and we are still here! Our children attended St. Pancratius School. Emily was in the first kindergarten class. The boys were altar servers and our daughter sang in the Youth Band at Mass.
As our children married and moved on we became more involved with parish activities and ministries. Stanley is one of the founding members of the Msgr. Daniel Kielty Knights of Columbus Council and was involved in all its activities.
My story is a bit different. In 1987 Msgr. Ronald Royer approached me and asked if I had ever thought about being a principal. Of course, I said, “No!” After many prayers and a lot of thought I accepted his offer to be principal of our parish school. I served from 1988 through 1993. I was asked to return in 1997 and resigned in 2009. What a wonderful and rewarding experience it was! Not only for me but for our whole family. Our children enjoy seeing former classmates and friends from St. Pancratius. When I see former students, school parents, and teachers my heart rejoices! (And “Yes, Msgr. Royer, I had fun!”)
God had a plan for us. We are still living it. We are blessed to be a part of this parish.
